Doyle Murphy goes beyond a brief: Warwick — Maureen Segota, her husband and three children picked their way along the path toward the water.

A group of teenagers already had a spot on the shore, so the family hiked farther along. The Segotas had a busy weekend already. Saturday night they'd hosted a big party. They'd planned Labor Day afternoon at Cascade Lake as a way to slow down — a day for fishing and to relax a little. Eventually they came to the top of a hill and looked down on the water.
