After weeks of testimony from high-ranking Mafia defectors, prosecutors in Federal District Court in Brooklyn yesterday were no closer to settling that question. Instead, they focused on how things actually did end for the couple on Dec. 24, 1992: In the front seat of their car, shot three times in the head.
