A few months ago, at a bar in St. Pete, Kruse got to talking about the upcoming Hernando County fair. He was interested in the idea that for a week and a half every year, a barren field becomes a temporary city. Money is exchanged. People are entertained. Love is born. Lessons are learned.



So after a few pints of Guinness and more chit-chat about fair things, he said something to the effect of this: "I want to cover the Hernando County fair like no fair has ever been covered before."
