The Young And Inspired

From my friend and occassional Gangrey poster Corey Hale, who teaches journalism in Texas: We loaded up again at the ILPC State Journalism Convention this past weekend with 19 individual awards this year (compared to two last year), including two first place wins. By my count, we were tied with another school for the most in Class 5A-2 (largest schools in the state).
We also received the Award of Distinguished Merit – the state's highest rating – for the second straight year.
This is following up nine individual awards at the Dallas Morning News High School Journalism Day and receiving their award for best newspaper in the large school division. That contest was open to most of the schools…
