The Mysterious Case of Gerald K. Schultz

William Browning: Early Thursday morning, a man threw a toilet tank lid out of a Casper hotel's window. Then a bedspread.

Police arrived. He wouldn't let them in. Through a locked door at Motel 6, he asked for the officer's badge number. When told, he claimed it was not valid. He put a table in the doorway, trying to keep officers out.

When police forced their way in, the man locked himself in the bathroom. Officers eventually placed him in handcuffs in the shower about 2:15 a.m.
