RIP Dick Evans, Who Loved His Newspaper

Read to the end. Thanks, Nigel. Adam H. Beasley: Dick Evans, an award-winning bowling reporter and the youngest of three brothers whose worked filled The Miami Herald's pages for some seven decades, died in Daytona Beach on Sunday.



Evans, diagnosed with skin cancer in May, was 78.



``Dick loved the Herald and he loved Miami,'' wife Joan Evans said.
