The Miracle In Racine

'thank god'

So a man in Racine is wanted by the cops for allegedly trying to kill his ex with an empty gun, among other crimes. The guy goes on the run and police release a description and mugshot. A local jail chaplain reads the story in The Journal Times, hears the voice of God, then goes to the newspaper for help

"He said to offer myself up and mediate," Frazier said. "I have to obey. I will obey. He don't have to ask me twice."

The story, by our friend Janine Anderson, goes 1A.

RACINE — Charles Powell Jr., call Steve Frazier.

He wants you to pick up a phone and dial (262) 989-8585.

He wants to help you.

It works. Powell turns himself in, and there's even video.
