John Torres: Since I started covering the Junny Rios-Martinez story a few years ago, I knew the day would come when I would watch his killer die.



Mark Dean Schwab's name had long become synonymous in Brevard County with evil and hatred. I gave little thought as to how I would feel watching someone like this executed.



I had read the trial transcripts, heard Schwab's taped confessions, met a prior victim who survived. And it's strange what details stick with you like a broken heart.
