This is lovely. John Doherty: There is a scrap of graffiti on a wall of the "Forbiten City" that reads: "Cowboy Loves Vivian."

And that is about as good a place as any to start the story of Arturo Interiano.

Arturo's story became all tangled up in Cowboy and Vivian's this summer. Their paths crossed here in a hidden corner of the world along the Hudson River in the City of Newburgh. If they had not met, it's very likely no one outside that world would have known Arturo's name.

It's also likely Arturo would still be alive.
